Everything you need to know about chiropractic care, menopause support,
and your whole-body health journey with Dr. Bianca.
A chiropractor assesses and treats problems with your muscles, joints, and nervous system — particularly the spine. Using precise, hands-on adjustments, we gently correct areas where the spine or joints are restricted or misaligned. This restores proper movement, reduces pain, and allows your nervous system to communicate more effectively with the rest of your body.
At Happy Healthy Grateful, Dr. Bianca takes this further by looking at the whole picture — not just where you hurt, but why. That means exploring lifestyle, nutrition, stress, hormones, and sleep alongside your spinal health.
Yes. Chiropractic care is one of the safest forms of healthcare available for musculoskeletal conditions when performed by a registered practitioner. Dr. Bianca is registered with AHPRA (the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and brings over 20 years of clinical experience to every consultation.
Before any treatment, a thorough assessment is completed to ensure the approach is appropriate for your individual health history. If chiropractic isn't right for you, Dr. Bianca will say so and refer you to the appropriate practitioner.
This depends entirely on your individual situation — how long the issue has been present, its severity, your lifestyle, and your health goals. Some patients feel significant improvement after 2–4 sessions. Others with long-standing or complex conditions benefit from a longer programme of care.
Dr. Bianca will always be upfront with you about the recommended care plan, why it's appropriate, and what progress you should expect to see. There are no hidden programmes or lock-in contracts — you are in control of your care.
Chiropractic care is effective for a wide range of conditions including:
Musculoskeletal: Back pain, neck pain, headaches and migraines, disc bulges, sciatica, knee pain, shoulder pain, posture-related pain, and sports injuries.
Nervous system: Stress-related tension, nervous system dysregulation, and conditions affecting sleep and energy.
Women's health: Perimenopause and menopause symptoms, hormonal imbalance support, and pregnancy-related discomfort.
Family health: Paediatric chiropractic for infants and children, and care during and after pregnancy.
Most patients find chiropractic adjustments comfortable and even relieving. You may hear a popping or clicking sound during an adjustment — this is simply gas releasing from the joint, similar to cracking your knuckles, and is completely normal.
Some patients experience mild muscle soreness for 24–48 hours after their first few sessions, particularly if inflammation is present. Dr. Bianca uses a range of techniques and always adapts pressure and approach to suit your comfort level, health history, and individual needs.
Yes — and this is one of Dr. Bianca's core areas of expertise. Chiropractic care supports the nervous system, which plays a central role in regulating hormonal function, temperature control, sleep, and stress response — all of which are significantly affected during perimenopause and menopause.
Spinal adjustments that focus on the thoracic (mid-back) and lumbar regions can help support adrenal function and improve the nervous system's ability to regulate the hormonal shifts that happen during this stage of life. When combined with targeted nutritional guidance and lifestyle support, many of Dr. Bianca's patients report meaningful improvements in hot flushes, sleep quality, mood, energy, and joint pain.
Dr. Bianca's menopause support programme combines chiropractic adjustments, nutritional guidance, hormone-supportive supplementation, gut health support, and lifestyle coaching into a personalised, integrated plan.
Rather than treating individual symptoms in isolation, the plan looks at your whole hormonal picture — adrenal function, thyroid, gut microbiome, sleep quality, and spinal alignment — and addresses the root causes of your symptoms. Programmes typically run over 3–6 months, with regular check-ins and adjustments to your plan as your body responds. Many patients have been on a tailored menopause plan with Dr. Bianca for 2+ years, finding it a sustainable, empowering approach to this stage of life.
Chiropractic care is not a direct replacement for HRT, and Dr. Bianca will never advise you to stop a medically prescribed treatment without guidance from your GP. However, many women seek a natural, whole-body approach to managing menopause symptoms — either instead of, or alongside, HRT.
For those who cannot take HRT, prefer not to, or want to complement their existing treatment, Dr. Bianca's integrated programme offers an evidence-informed natural approach that addresses the nervous system, gut, nutrition, and lifestyle factors that significantly influence how you experience menopause.
Patients working with Dr. Bianca on menopause support often report improvements in the following areas:
Physical: Joint pain and stiffness, back and neck pain, headaches, reduced energy, and muscle tension — all of which worsen during hormonal transitions.
Sleep: Difficulty falling or staying asleep, often related to nervous system dysregulation and cortisol imbalance.
Mood & cognition: Brain fog, irritability, and anxiety — connected to the gut-brain axis and nervous system function.
Gut & metabolism: Bloating, digestive changes, and weight fluctuation that often accompany hormonal shifts.
Every patient responds differently, and results depend on the individual. Dr. Bianca will always set realistic expectations and monitor your progress at each visit.
Absolutely — and earlier is better. Perimenopause can begin up to 10 years before your last period, and the hormonal shifts that accompany it often affect the nervous system, gut, and musculoskeletal system before obvious symptoms appear.
A proactive consultation with Dr. Bianca during early perimenopause allows her to assess your baseline, identify any areas of imbalance, and establish a support plan before symptoms become disruptive. Many patients find this early investment means a significantly smoother transition through menopause.
Your gut and your spine are more connected than most people realise. The vagus nerve — a major nerve that runs from your brainstem to your digestive system — plays a central role in gut motility, digestion, and the gut-brain axis. When the spine is misaligned, it can interfere with nerve signals, affecting digestive function.
Additionally, the thoracic and lumbar spine contain nerves that directly supply the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine. Chiropractic adjustments to these areas can improve nerve communication to the digestive system, which is why many patients notice improvements in bloating, reflux, constipation, and gut discomfort alongside their musculoskeletal treatment.
The 2-Week Health Reset is a guided detox and gut reset programme designed by Dr. Bianca to clear the body of common inflammatory triggers, support the liver, and re-establish a healthy gut environment. It combines targeted nutrition protocols, professional-grade supplements (including Metagenics products), and lifestyle adjustments.
The programme is suitable for patients who are experiencing fatigue, bloating, brain fog, skin issues, or hormonal disruption — and works particularly well as a starting point for those on Dr. Bianca's menopause support plan. It is available through the Happy Healthy Grateful Health Store and is guided with support throughout.
Metagenics is a practitioner-only supplement range known for its clinical-grade formulations, rigorous quality testing, and evidence base. Unlike supplements available over the counter, practitioner-only products are formulated at therapeutic doses and are not available without a qualified health practitioner's recommendation.
Dr. Bianca recommends specific Metagenics products tailored to your individual health needs — never a one-size-fits-all approach. These are available through the Happy Healthy Grateful Health Store for current patients.
Yes. Sports chiropractic focuses on optimising joint function, mobility, and recovery for active individuals. Dr. Bianca works with athletes and youth sports participants to treat acute injuries, address movement patterns that lead to overuse injuries, and support performance through optimal spinal and joint alignment.
Common sports presentations include hamstring tightness, shoulder and rotator cuff issues, IT band syndrome, ankle sprains, and sports-related back pain. Chiropractic is also used proactively by many athletes as part of their recovery and performance maintenance routine.
Yes. Whiplash and soft tissue injuries sustained in car accidents are among the most common presentations in chiropractic. The impact of a collision — even at low speeds — can cause significant strain to the muscles, ligaments, and joints of the neck, upper back, and lower back, sometimes without immediate pain.
Dr. Bianca recommends seeking assessment as soon as possible after an accident, even if you feel okay. Early intervention prevents chronic pain from developing as tissues heal in a compromised position. Treatment focuses on gentle mobilisation, reducing inflammation, and progressively restoring normal movement and function.
If you are making a TAC (Transport Accident Commission) claim, chiropractic treatment is typically covered. Please bring your claim details to your first appointment.
Yes — chiropractic care during pregnancy is safe and often highly beneficial. As the body changes through pregnancy, the additional weight and shifting centre of gravity place significant strain on the lower back, pelvis, and hips. Chiropractic adjustments during pregnancy are modified to be gentle and appropriate for each stage.
Benefits many pregnant patients experience include relief from back pain, pelvic girdle pain, round ligament discomfort, and sciatica. Dr. Bianca uses a pregnancy-specific adjusting approach that avoids pressure on the abdomen and is comfortable throughout all trimesters.
Yes. Paediatric chiropractic is a gentle, safe approach that uses very light pressure — quite different from adult adjustments. Children commonly present for assessment following birth trauma, with postural concerns, recurring ear infections, growing pains, or after sporting injuries.
Dr. Bianca adapts her technique entirely to the child's age, size, and comfort. Treatments are typically very brief and children often find them enjoyable. Parents are always present during paediatric consultations.
Your first consultation is a thorough whole-body assessment. Dr. Bianca will take a detailed health history, discuss your current symptoms, health goals, and lifestyle, and perform a physical examination of your spine, posture, and relevant joints and muscles.
If appropriate, treatment may begin at your first visit. You will leave with a clear understanding of what Dr. Bianca found, what she recommends, and why. Your care plan is always explained and agreed upon before it begins — there are no surprises. Please allow approximately 60 minutes for your initial consultation.
